Wednesday - Blue Mountains

On Wednesday, Stacey (my stepmom) took the four of us up to the Blue Mountains so that we didn't need to take the train. While there we went on the steepest railroad in the world, went on a cable car, saw three sisters and ate a little cafe. It was a gorgeous day! Actually, they all have been wonderfully warm and sunny! A far cry from what we here it is like back home. And I'll be honest, we don't miss it at all!!!

This is a picture of the Blue Mountains. They aren't like the mountains in Colorado, but the Aussies claim them just the same! They are called the Blue Mountains because of the blue haze the gum trees put off when the sun is shining.

Here is Jes and I after hiking. Aren't we just glowing?

Here is a famous shot of Three Sisters. I've been told that there used to be seven...I'm not sure about that. We did walk down to the first sister. They used to let people climb them, but the stone is very soft and they (I'm not sure who "they" are) have stopped that in order to save the sisters.
